STUDENTS' CONCERTS - INDIVIDUAL SHOWCASE
[Play/Sing] My student, Melody, not only plays the piano during our music lessons, she sings as well. During my 2016 Students' Concert, she sang the song "When You Wish Upon A Star" from the Disney movie "Pinocchio", with some simple movements I choreographed. I especially arranged the piano accompaniment and played for her. She learnt listening skills and how to coordinate her singing with the piano!
[Play/Melody-writing] Hadi, being a creative piano student of mine, likes to experiment with tunes. To enhance his piano learning, I introduce him to songwriting with different musical elements. He created his original music "Moon In The Barnyard" with some guidance from me and performed it during my 2016 Students' Concert.
[Play/Sing/Group/Encore] 4-year-old Ruth and 10-year-old Jia Hui, became friends when they met during piano lessons at my music studio. I decided to let them perform together at my 2016 Students' Concert. Playing and singing the song "Carnival" from Encore Junior Series, I choreographed some movements for them with the sleigh bells. Both of them learnt how to play in a group and using percussive instrument!
MUSIC LESSONS
[Play/Sing/Lyrics-writing] Melody, is creative and loves composing. I encouraged her to create her own rhyming lyrics for these 2 tunes. She played and sang the songs during our piano lesson. We had a creative lesson!
